Trying out Wheel Throwing at Arudio

A 3 hours fun workshop at Arudio where we turned the clay into small cups, bowls and vases.

  

It was my first time trying out wheel throwing using the electric pottery wheel. To start off, an instructor was there to teach us the basic skills (learning how to control the speed of the wheel, pulling and raising of the clay) and our friendly instructor was always ready to help us when we had queries. In the next hour, we were able to mold about 2-4 items depending on our speed. 

For the last hour, we dried our potteries using a hand held dryer and were given stamping tools to stamp alphabets and cute cartoons at the base of it. (Personalization!) At the end of the class, we were given a paper to write down our glazing color preferences and we came back about 4 weeks later to collect our finished artworks :D
